A1 Level 3 Certificate in assessing candidate using a range of methods

Aim

The A1 unit has been developed by the Employment NTO. It replaces the previous D32/33 units.

The unit is appropriate for you if your role involves:

• Assessing candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods.
• Giving candidates feedback on assessment decisions.
• Contributing to the internal quality assurance process.

The A1 unit covers:

• Developing plans for assessing competence with candidates.
• Judging evidence against agreed standards to make assessment decisions.
• Contributing to the internal quality assurance process.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal educational requirements for the award however learners must hold a qualification in the area they intend to assess and be occupationally competent.
